No ... you don't need to be professionally trained. And you can be.
We have Chorus members from all different backgrounds ...
including a variety of ages, backgrounds, cultural and educational experiences,
levels of experience with singing, trained and not trained in music,
able to read music and not having learned to do so, and a whole lot more.
So join us.
We've got two open rehearsals so you can try this kind of singing on.
We're not here to judge ... just to create a community dedicated to singing!
We have some exciting news to share with you: RIGMC has relocated to a new rehearsal space!
To better accommodate our growing musical family and to best meet our needs, we have decided to make a change.
Our new rehearsal space is at:
First Unitarian Church of Providence
1 Benevolent Street, Providence, RI 02906
First Unitarian Church of Providence is on the East Side (corner of Benefit and Benevolent Streets).
While we cherish our many years at Beneficent Congregational Church, the opportunities that our new rehearsal space brings us are countless and we couldn’t be more excited.
We look forward to creating and perfecting our shows there for many years to come.
In addition to a new musical home for rehearsals, RIGMC has a new concert home.
All of our holiday and spring concerts will now take place at:
Our new rehearsal space is at:
The Scottish Rite Masonic Center
2115 Broad St., Cranston, RI 02905
It’s a great venue with ample free parking, comfortable stadium seating (there’s not a bad seat in the house!), accessible restrooms, and many nearby dining options for a meal or drink before or after the show.
This is an exciting time of growth for RIGMC and we are grateful to have you as part of it!
